2026 Summer Camps in Hillsborough County

A lifeguard tower on a beach with palm treesWhether it’s a half-day or a full-day, there are camps throughout Hillsborough County that offer fun and engaging experiences for children while they are out of school during summer break.

In 2026, public school students begin summer break after May 29, 2026.  Students will return to school on August 10, 2026.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, located just South of the University of South Florida, is offering day camps and residential camps throughout the summer.  Camps are available for children, college students, or teachers who want to experience Busch Gardens or one of its sister theme parks.   More information about the 2026 Busch Gardens summer camps can be found on the Busch Gardens website.

City of Tampa Summer Camps

The city of Tampa offers summer camps for children ages 5-17.   There are also adaptive summer camps.  Due to the demand for the camps, some are already full or have waitlists.    Financial assistance is available to help pay for the camps and requires a separate application.  You can find additional information about the camps and the financial assistance information on the city of Tampa website.

City of Temple Terrace Summer Camps

The city of Temple Terrace will have various summer camps for children throughout the summer.  To register for the camp, you must go to the Temple Terrace Family Recreation Complex, 6610 Whiteway Dr., Temple Terrace, FL 33617

Hillsborough County Summer Camps

Hillsborough County has several summer camps for children throughout the county.  There are camps for children entering 1st grade to those who are 15 years old.  You will also find some adaptive summer camps.   You can visit the Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation website to find additional information about the camps and register.
