Over the years parents have taken a lot of creative liberties in naming their children. One New Zealand court felt that the parents of one young girl went too far when they named her “Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii.” The child became a ward of the state and her name was legally changed. The little girl’s lawyer also said that the little girl was embarrassed by her former name.
I don’t know what exactly her parents were thinking when they actually named her, but apparently they were not think about this little girl’s future. Tula by itself would be nice and then giving her the nickname “Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii” would have been fun and cute, but to make it her legal name was too eccentric.
