Rays Didn’t Win World Series, But they Still are Winners

This has been the best season that the Tampa Bay Rays have played in series history. They made as far as the World Series and did put up a good fight. In the end it was not enough to win the World Series but they have proved that they definitely are a team to be reckoned with. Teams will definitely have to give more respect to the Tampa Bay Rays. Seats at Tropicana stadium will be a lot fuller than they have been in seasons past.

Congratulation Tampa Bay Rays on a great season!!

Tampa Bay Rays Down But Not Out in the World Series

Last night the Tampa Bay Rays suffered their 3rd loss to the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series. The Phillies clobbered the Rays 10-2. Philadelphia has not been too good for the Rays and this game tonight is pivotal if the Rays are to continue on in the World Series. The Rays have it within them to come back and win the game and bring a MLB World Series victory back to Tampa Bay. The pressure is definitely on for the Rays, but they can handle it.

Dallas Cowboy with former Buc’s Quarter Back defeat Tampa Bay Buccaneers

When the Buccaneers went into the football game this past Sunday against the Cowboys, many sports analyst predicted the Buccaneers would win. The Cowboys showed them otherwise and defeated the Buccaneers 13-9. The Cowboys have been struggling since Romo left with an injured pinky and former Buccaneer quarterback took over the position for the Cowboys. Although a defeat for the Buccaneers is not a great thing, it was great to see Brad Johnson win a game as quarterback for the Cowboys.

Shout Out to the Longtime Rays Fans

Special Shout outs to the long time Ray fans. I mean the ones that bought season tickets for years and sat in rows of empty seats and became familiar with the Tropicana field staff. Those fans that were ridiculed by friends and family for supporting a “Loosing Team.” Those fans that sported the Ray’s shirts and baseball caps when it was not the cool thing to do. Those fans that followed the Rays games and smelt the change in the air and new something great was coming. These are the fans I want to say congratulations and thank you for your faithfulness.

Go Rays-The Cinderella Story Continues to the World Series

It probably would have been enough to know that we made it to the postseason with all the defeats the Rays have had in the past, but to make it all the way the World Series is like Wow. I knew in my heart that the Rays would come home to win The ALCS title, but it was kind of tense with the win going to be determined by the last game. The red Sox were tough competitors and they should be proud of themselves, but they should have known it was not going to be their year.

Congratulations Rays.

We Love the Rays but You Have to Give the Red Sox Their Props

The postseason game last night that the Rays had at the Red Sox seemed to be a shut-out. The Rays were winning 7-0 against the Boston Red Sox and it seemed that the Rays were going to going to make their first visit to the World Series, but the Boston Red Sox came back and defeated the Rays 8-7.

Although the Rays did lose last night Tampa Bay fans can look at it as a silver lining because they get to be in the stands when the Rays defeat the Boston Red Sox at home in Tropicana field.

Sorry Red Sox you will not being going back to the World Series this time.

Let’s Go Rays!!!

More Vitamins D for Kids

Doctors are now recommending that children get double the current vitamin D dosage of 200 IU. Now researchers believe that children should be getting 400 IU of vitamin D each day. The report also states that it most unlikely that children are getting enough vitamin D in their diet and would most likely need supplements to actually get the recommended dosage. Infants that do drink infant formulas should be getting enough vitamin D through the formulas. The report recommends that children not receiving at least 1000ml/day of vitamin D through formula or fortified milk; or 400 IU of vitamin D through other sources get a supplement.

People can get Vitamin D through the sun. The American milk supply is fortified with Vitamin D. Other natural sources of Vitamin D include salmon, mackerel, tuna, cod liver oil.

The report also recommended that obstetricians monitor the level of vitamin D in pregnant moms to make sure they had enough Vitamin D.

Vitamin D is necessary for the proper absorption of calcium and can help prevent osteoporosis, hypertension (high blood pressure), cancer, and several autoimmune diseases.

Rays Defeat Red Sox as Game Goes Into the Morning Hours

It definitely was a tight game between the Boston Red sox and the Tampa Bay Rays, but the Rays were able to pull-off a 9-8 win over the Sox. Many fans went to bed Saturday night not knowing who actually won the game, but Tampa Bay fans woke up to happy news that the Rays has tied to series again the Sox 1-1.

Now the Rays head to Boston to play the Red Sox on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. If necessary, the Rays and the Sox will play again at Tropicana filed on Saturday, and Sunday. Although we love to watch the Rays play at home it would be nice to the Rays handle their business up in Boston and come home with ALCS winners.

Sapp Sultry and Smooth on the Dance Floor

What can be said about those silky smooth moves Warren Sapp has on the dance floor. The man can move and move he did on another night of “Dancing with the Stars”. Football players seem to do well on “Dancing with the Stars”; it must be something about how they train on the field that makes them real good on the dance floor. I once heard that ballet can make a football player better on the field; maybe the converse is true and football can make a better dancer out of someone. Sapp is definitely my season favorite, and not just because he is a former Buccaneer. I like the way he moves.

Rays Win First Postseason Series in Chicago

Last night the Rays beat the Chicago White Sox and got their first postseason series win. This series victory does not surprise the fans both new and old who have been watching the Rays play all season. If anyone had predicted the Rays would have gotten this far at the beginning of the season they probably would have been laughed at and called a fool. Now we know the Rays have everything it takes to win and to win big. What makes this great is that they have struggled for so long and are finally getting the wins and recognition they deserve. This will certainly change the perception of baseball in this area. I would not be surprised if more little boys and girls starting signing up for baseball and softball leagues.
