It’s time for public school students across Tampa Bay to start the new school year as another summer has passed. The first day of school for various counties in the Tampa Bay area is set for August 12, 2024. Hillsborough County’s school day will be shorter as it coincides with the district’s early release day. The first day of school for Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Hernando, Manatee, and Sarasota County is also on August 12, 2024.
