Tampa Bay Lightning Hope to Continue Winning Streak in San Jose

The Tampa Bay Lightning are moving in the right direction after winning their last two games against the Blue Jackets and Calgary Flames respectively.  Tampa Bay began a road trip against the Blue Jackets last Saturday, December 17 and heads to San Jose, CA for their next game against the Sharks on Wednesday, December 21.  Tampa Bay needs to keep winning so they can improve upon their record.  They can catch the Washington Capitals and move up in the Southeast Division with a long winning streak.

The Bolts had a magical season last year that was cut short by a thrilling Game 7 loss against the Boston Bruins.  There was optimism that this year would be just as special and maybe even a championship run would be in store for the Lightning.  The 2011-2012 season has not lived up to the hype but there is room for hope after the last two games.  They are currently in fourth place with the Florida Panthers leading the way in the Southeast Division.

Tampa Bay has a lot to be thankful for this holiday season but would love to win their next two road games against the San Jose Sharks and Colorado Avalanche.  The Lightning return home for a game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, December 27 at St. Pete Times Forum.  The NHL season is a marathon but this is the perfect time for the Lightning to start making their move toward another playoff run.  Go Bolts!!
