Register Early for Citrus County Parks and Rec Summer Camp for $10 Registration Discount

Register for Citrus County Parks and Recreation summer camp and you will get a $10 discount on the registration fee.

Citrus County Parks and Recreation is hosting a 10-week camp, Camp Fusion, this summer for children from 6 to 10 at the Renaissance Center in Lecanto, and registration is still open.

Campers will swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays and go to the movies every Tuesday. The campers will have scheduled field trips, for example, to wildlife parks, and will learn about Florida and various professions. The camp is designed to develop leadership skills, teamwork strategies and self-confidence.

There is a one-time registration fee of $25 for each camper, which covers all the field trips. Then the price for the Monday through Friday camp is $60 a week per camper. The hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For $70 a week campers can have extended care hours, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The price for single day campers is $20 a day. Those who sign up before May 21 save $10 on registration.

The camp will be supervised by staff members who are trained in first aid and CPR and who have undergone extensive background checks.
