$1 Movie For the Summer at AMC Theaters

Kids and adults alike can enjoy the magic of movies on Wednesday mornings this summer at AMC Summer MovieCamp in participating markets. An exciting and affordable option for summer fun, AMC Entertainment is proud to offer the community service program in 39 U.S. markets and Canada from June 17 to Aug. 5, 2009. A nominal fee of $1 per guest will be charged for admissions. All admission & concession proceeds, excluding taxes and operating costs will go to AMC charitable partners, Variety – The Children’s Charity and the Will Rogers Institute.

AMC Entertainment Inc., a leading theatrical exhibition and entertainment company, has hosted Summer MovieCamp for 24 years. A fixture in the communities AMC serves, Summer MovieCamp presents G- and PG-rated movies on the big screen every Wednesday morning throughout the summer. Advance tickets will be on sale starting June 10 at 108 participating AMC theatre locations and online. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and shows will begin at 10 a.m. local time nationwide.

AMC Summer MovieCamp encourages people of all ages to enjoy a treasured pastime, going to the movies. Popular with grandparents, parents and children, the program allows kids to be kids and provides entertainment suitable for all ages. This year, AMC Summer MovieCamp will feature a selection of the top-performing G- and PG-rated films of 2008. The film schedule and titles include:

During Summer MovieCamp, AMC Entertainment will also offer KidsPackTM concession combos for $3, nearly a 50 percent reduction. This KidsPack combo reduction offer is only valid during Summer MovieCamp showtimes.

Glad to hear that movie theators are doing 1$ movie nights! that should help jump start the economy, and i bet alot of ppl really like the idea of seeing a movie for just 1$. means anyone can now go, instead of payin like 10$ a person… opens it up for alot more buisnes for the movie theator i bet. i also bet the popcorn and soda and snacks are expensive as all can be, like usual.
