Children that have a financial need can qualify for free swimming lessons by the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department. Children ages 5-17 can receive a free swimming lesson voucher if they show a financial need. There are a limited amount of swim lesson vouchers available. Distribution of the free swim vouchers began on May 26. The vouchers are available at the following pools: Copeland, Bobby Hicks, Cyrus Greene, and
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
To request a free swim lesson voucher, the applicant must show proof of one of the following:
• Free or Reduced School Lunch
• Food Stamps
• Medicaid, Medicare
