Watching the news of how the wildfires in California have devastated many people may lead many wanting to do something to help. Although we live in Tampa Bay we can do something from our own homes. Along with prayers we can make denotations to charities that are already helping these victims. The American Red Cross accepts donations from their web site and these donations can be made specifically for the California Wildfire Disaster.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in every store you go. Although Halloween has not even come the Christmas decorations are already in many retail stores.
Every year the toy industry comes out with toys that they believe will be desired by kids. As a parent we know that sometimes a child may see a toy in the stores or on television and want it as if it was the last piece of candy. Once the child has that toy for a week, that feeling goes as quickly as it came.
On the other hand there are those toys that children cannot seem to put down no matter how long they have had it. These are the type of toys and gifts that parents all over Tampa Bay and the world are hoping to give their children this Christmas holiday. Yeah, we all know that Christmas is more about showing the spirit of giving and love, but what parent doesn’t want their child to enjoy their Christmas present.
To really give a great gift this Christmas season parents must get to know their children. Know your child’s likes and dislikes. It really is not about you giving the gift that you wish you had as kid. It is about the gift that your child would enjoy for a long time. Sometimes these things may go together.

Employers have already begun advertising the seasonal positions. Employers need the extra people to handle the increase customers they will have during the holidays. This is the biggest time for retailers across the country.
During the Holiday season many Americans get seasonal jobs to make a little extra money. Teens are not the only ones that may go for earning some extra money during the Christmas season. Many adults decide to work at a second job during the holiday; some out of choice and others out necessity. Do not to be surprised to see your favorite teacher working a seasonal job during this holiday season. One web site, My Seasonal Job, helps match people with potential seasonal job employers.
Although many seasonal positions are ended when the holiday season also ends, there are some jobs that may continue beyond the holiday season. For those that would like to make their seasonal position a long-term position, working hard and having a great attitude is the way to go. Even if this job may not last as long as you would like, having a great work ethic can give you a wonderful recommendation for your next job.

What I want for Christmas is a HDTV. The prices of HDTV (High Definition Television) have gone down significantly over the years. You can now get a low cost HDTV at prices that were not available years ago. What has lowered the prices? Competition, competition, competition. Capitalism at work is working for us in the much desired item, the television.
I can recall way back in late ’90s when the DVD started appearing in homes. The prices at that time were $200 for some DVDs. Now you find a DVD for $29.99, sometimes cheaper. If you are willing to wait after the flurry of shoppers, then you can get your product for lower prices.
The HDTV is now one of those items that have been made more affordable for most people. Christmas time is coming around and some folks probably are looking in their stocking, or maybe their entertainment center for that gift they have been eyeing all year long.

Last week Tony Dungy and the Indianapolis Colts spanked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This week the Buccaneers came back with the need for a win and beat the Tennessee Titan 13-10. The game got intense at the end. If you watched it then you know what a mean. The Buccaneers were winning at the end of the fourth quarter 10-3, but the Titans came back and scored a touch-down and then an extra point kick to tie the game. At that point most were thinking that we were going into overtime, but the Buccaneers thought differently. The Buccaneers came back with a field goal that sealed their win. Now the Tampa Bay Buccaneers now have a 4-2 record and lead the AFC South.
