June 1st was the first day of the Florida 2007 Hurricane Preparednes Sales Tax Holiday. during this time no slaes tax is collected on certain hurricane preparation items.
Florida law provides that no sales tax or discretionary sales surtax (also known as a local option sales tax) will be collected
on the sale or purchase of certain items* related to hurricane preparedness for the period beginning 12:01 a.m., Friday,
June 1, 2007, and ending at midnight, Tuesday, June 12, 2007.

Tropical Storm Barry has formed in the Gulf of Mexico. All of the of Tampa Bay is currently under a tropical storm warning. Tropical Storm Barry is not forecasted to intensify into a hurricane.
What it will bring is a lot of rain. Of course thing do change quite frequently when it come to the storms, so pay attention to your local forecasts.

Today is the first day of the 2007 hurricane season. Forecaster have predicted that it will be a very active season. What does this mean for people living in the Tampa Bay area? Be prepared and stay alert to what is happening in the weather forecasts.
Hurricane Charlie ,in 2004, caught a lot people off gaurd and Tampa Bay and most of Florida are now aware of the dangers and unpredictability of storms.
